Might and Main, Penthouse Project, Manchester. A residnecy in an old tech college and engineering building. In the residency I spent time in the space exporing traces of previous occupancy. I created a series of light installations using ceiling light fittings I had found in the space. I screen printed an old family photo on glass then replaced it in the ceilling. The lights were operated on timers, intermittently, creating an environment that is in flux, shifting between the ‘architectural space’ and ‘memory space’.
